The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) in cooperation with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) is pleased to announce the 2012 Norman E. Borlaug International Agricultural Science and Technology Fellowship Program (Borlaug Fellowship Program) for selected Feed the Future countries. These Fellowships are offered as part of the Feed the Future 21st Century Borlaug 21st Century Leadership Program. They are intended to increase the number of women in leadership positions in agriculture and, as such, only female applicants will be selected.
The
Borlaug Fellowship Program promotes food security and economic growth
by increasing scientific knowledge, advancing the transfer of new
agricultural technology, and encouraging collaborative research to
improve agricultural productivity. Under the Feed the Future 21st
Century Borlaug Leadership Program, early to mid-career female
agricultural professionals with an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong
desire to aid agricultural development in their home country are
targeted.
Please note: The deadline for all countries is April 6, 2012.
