DaBet Music Signs Ugandan Artist Saba Saba
According to the press release announcing the deal, Saba Saba, previously
known as Krazy Native, co-founded the Ugandan Hip Hop Foundation and was a founding member of the Ugandan hip hop group, Bataka Squad. DaBet Music was formed earlier this year by attorney Angela Rose White, the daughter of the late songwriter David Rose and the COO of the David Rose Publishing Co.
In other moves, DaBet also signed to provide administration and publishing services to Irish singer/songwriter Paul Casey, who has had three of his songs featured on the ABC Family Network television series, “Wildfire.”
The company has also signed an agreement to provide publishing services to singer/songwriter Benjamin for his song “If You're Fly.” The agreement
includes an option for future songs written and produced by Benjamin. In
addition to Benjamin, DaBet Music is already administering interests in
songs performed by such artists as The Platters, Ike & Tina Turner, Count Basie, Little Richard, Cher, Cass Elliot, Donny and Marie Osmond, and Dinah Shore.

A Poem about Tupac by J. Hilton
Black man, Black boy, Prince, Thug,
Revolutionary, Symbol. They only see your
tattoos, jewelry, and body language. They only
hear your vulgar words, defiant messages, and
your unavoidable controversy. They see your life
as a threat, they comment chickens came home
to roost They blame you for violence in
America, they pour disgust on you and point the
finger at you for problems in our families.
Black man, Black boy, Prince, Thug,
Revolutionary, Symbol. We see you as the dark
truth they are scared to accept. We see you as the
voice we sometimes could not find. We see you
as a young Malcolm X. Alcohol, drugs, women
and prison consumed you, as it did Brother
Malcolm. Yet those that knew you, knew you
were on the way out, you had seen the light and
moved toward it. We felt your pain, so similar to
ours. We felt your frustration, so similar to ours.
We felt your anger, so similar to ours. You are an
unavoidable realness. To Generation X, as they
describe it, you are a 1996 Elvis, John Lennon,
Jimi Hendricks, Sammy Davis, Ella Fitzgerald.
Those that don't know, may never know. Those
that do know, truly know that... Only God Can
Judge You!www.africa256.wordpress.com
In the event of my Demise by Tupac poems
when my heart can beat no more
I Hope I Die For A Principle
or A Belief that I had Lived 4
I will die Before My Time
Because I feel the shadow's Depth
so much I wanted 2 accomplish
before I reached my Death
I have come 2 grips with the possibility
and wiped the last tear from My eyes
I Loved All who were Positive
In the event of my Demise
I Cry by Tupac
I Cry,
Cause I am on my own.
The tears I cry are bitter and warm.
They flow with life but take no form
I Cry because my heart is torn.
I find it difficult to carry on.
If I had an ear to confiding,
I would cry among my treasured friend,
but who do you know that stops that long,
to help another carry on.
The world moves fast and it would rather pass by.
Then to stop and see what makes one cry,
so painful and sad.
And sometimes...
I Cry
and no one cares about why.

Till Blogger, Facebook, twitter &word press blogs do us part !!!!
From wordpress, blogger, opera to facebook, twitter, hi5, tagged, kiwi box and the rest, social networks and blogs are the new buzz word in cyberspace.
Anyone and everyone who uses the internet knows about the concept of social networking and blogging. Be it young or old, they are all facebooking a. k. a facing the book and blogging away. But it is we the teenagers who have the briskness to use this new virtual platform to its maximum potential. All it requires is being on the net, type in the website, click sign up, and in no time, you will be starting, absolutely free. People are facebooking like crazy. The blog freaks have signed up with networks like www.blogger.com, posted their articles or whatever stuff they want the world to read and they are getting read by everyone.
Having grown up using the computer and internet as a source of information, youngsters in this generation are at ease when conveying their opinions on the blogsites, or feelings and thoughts on the social network. The use of various platforms of communication comes naturally, to all teenagers, unlike old writers who at times experience moments of stagnation.
My pal, Adonia has managed to become a prolific writer, thanks to his blogsites, “the feeling of being read and appreciated by strangers was and is still very inspiring,” he says.
The rapid emergence of blogging and social networks can be attributed to the unequaled characteristic of the platforms, which allow teens to acquire a sense of satisfaction as a result of expressing themselves, while remaining anonymous if they want to as is the case with blogs where teens create their own blogging space and invite friends and strangers to join.
This allows for the much needed attention that every teen craves but the only nightmare for these teens is if the parent chances upon his or her blogsite.
Although teenagers can write with great proficiency on the blogsites, they have very little experience writing beyond the internet. This is because publishers of magazines and newspapers are not helping teens in anyway; probably this is even throttling a major talent, which is meant to be emerging. Brian gave up with trying to write because “man I sent mob articles to that newspaper but none of them was published.” Well, that changed with The New Vision TEENZ. Teenagers who previously kept their articles buried in the crowded and vast cyber space are sending them for publication.
Social networking has found acceptability because to Edgar, “I have made friends with people I hardly knew on facebook.”
Social networking has found acceptability among the youth because it is where they can express themselves freely while blogging has found acceptability because here the youth can showcase their writing skills and creativity because there is no restraining arm of the publisher.
The large reach of this new-age discovery grants teens the ability of using their technical skills to acquire attention, as is on facebook, or gain readership for their writing, as is the case with blogsites.

JERICHO BREAKERS
At the beginning they had no uniforms at all, nothing like fancy clothes such groups normally wear. They had passion, were ambitious and enduring, that's all they needed. After hard training for months they managed to win the 2nd prize in a competition of Praise Dancers of the whole country. Some of their performances you see at the pictures below - you can also recognize how much fun is involved in their dancing, they not only dance well; they also transfer their joy and fun unto the viewer. Often they just dance for fun in midst of our Sanyu-Kids.
We are very proud of our young people and try to render help to them as much as possible. They are faithful people who help in running our project. All of them have the potential to change their generation for the better.

TEENS BUZ LEAVERS ROCK
The teenagers had been let off the hook. They had 'thank God it's holiday' written all over their faces.
You would think their headteachers had decreed before sending them home that each attends the do, initiated by Buzz Magazine, an urbanite weekly.
You would think some of them had sprayed Kerosene. They also had 'cool' phones that they used to take pictures of the artistes. And the girls - too - much makeup, stylish jeans and quarter pants, leggings, basic phones and tank tops.
The do kicked off in a low key at 10:00am, but by 3:00pm, the indoor stadium was chocking with students beaming with excitement to local artistes' performances.
Bavubuka Allstars Michael Ross, Lyrical G and Klear Kut's The Mith were the opening acts that put the teens in a groovy mood.
And when Kenya's jewellery-donned CMB Prezo stepped forth, the stadium thudded with ululations. Many crowded the stage to take his picture as he rapped.
Peter Miles, Menshan and Bebe Cool also had their share of the crowds that screamed, sang and jumped along to the artistes' athletic dance moves before opening the dance that went up 7:00pm.
After a day of fun, the students booed emcee Kats when he announced that they were closing.
The music stopped, but some refused to leave, hanging around for about another hour, while others rushed to take their parents' cars back home.

HIP HOP SAVES LIVES
GOD has given
me a gift by placing the responsibility of "HIP
HOP SAVES LIVES" on my heart. I currently
live in new york city, but like to say that
I am a citizen of the world. Living in NYC has
exposed me to people and their way of life from
all across the globe. These same people have
given my career as a hip hop artist and producer
much love and shown me that many if not all
nation have a love for this artform. This lead
me to title the artist in me F.A.M. which means
(for all mankind). I challenge myself when writing
songs to speak to the world and not a demographic.
We are all people of the same planet. That's
the way I chose to look at the world. Yes I
am an American, a New yorker, I was born and
raised in Cleveland,Ohio, who went to Shaker
Hts, high school, so I'm a shaker raider and
a Morehouse man from my college years and the
list goes on and on and on. Before all of those
titles I am a human being, as we all are. All other subtitles describe our journey in life, but not who we are. This organization "Hip Hop Saves LIves" is here to take this message across the globe. "That we are all from the same planet". Those simple words go a long way. If we think of this first when we think of people it makes it much easier to care for one another. Hip hop at the core is a simple artfrom. A beat and a rhyme, Anyone can do it and that's whaT so many are involved. Once again something simple has gone a very long way. All are welcome. come join us in our journey to spread this simple message through a simple art form that has the whole world watching and the whole world performing.www.africa256.wordpress.com |

INTERNET MARKETING - AFFILATE PROGRAMMES
What is Affiliate Marketing?
Affiliate marketing is a new twist on an old concept – commission-based sales. At its simplest, it is a partnership between a merchant and a salesperson where the merchant rewards the salesperson, or affiliate, based on some measure of performance – usually a sale, but in some cases for leads or website traffic. The first mainstream affiliate marketing system on the internet was launched by Amazon.com, offering Amazon "associates" the opportunity to receive a commission for each book they sold for the company. Since then, many thousands of companies have created their own affiliate programs, encouraging online publishers and salespeople to earn commissions through their partnerships.
There are many publishing and sales professionals who are successful affiliate marketers, but they are certainly not the only people participating in the industry. There are also many "amateur" affiliates – people who build a website, or create an online newsletter, or in some cases simply email their friends and recommend a product or service. In many instances, it's no different to recommending a particular brand or store – except that if somebody follows the affiliate's advice, they're rewarded for it.
Why Affiliate Marketing?
Since the internet is one of the media with which to view the world and interact with people without getting up from one’s seat, it has become one of the most important channels with which to sell a merchant’s products and wares. This is the reason why affiliate marketing thrives as a result of the internet’s popularity. The products and wares which the internet markets get the necessary exposure needed to sell well. This is where the fact that affiliate marketing is a lucrative business comes in. What is intended to be sold is sold because the internet is the best place to sell all these merchandise without the merchant giving too much of an effort to sell them per se.
Affiliate marketing may involve a number of different strategies and techniques, from building entire online storefronts offering the affiliate merchant's products, adding some form of advertisement to an existing website, to something as simple as making recommendations in an email and including a special affiliate link that ensures that the merchant credits them for the sale.
The growth of affiliate marketing is constantly increasing, as new merchants discover the value of increasing the size of their sales force by creating partnerships with online publishers. This is especially true of merchants whose products or services may appeal to a particular niche market. How better to become established within that niche than by working with companies and individuals who already know the market because they're part of it?
Making Money With Affiliate Programs
Most of us dream about the kind of life where we make our own hours and have time for the important things in life, don’t we? How about earning an income that we can really be proud of based on our performance? Let’s face it, for most of us, work is something that takes away from our days, not add to them.Perhaps that’s why so many people are turning towards affiliate marketing for extra income. Affiliate marketing was responsible for billions of dollars worth of revenue over the past year, and much of that centered on the all-important holiday shopping season. When you are ready make money with affiliate programs and become a successful affiliate marketer there are a few things you need to keep in mind.

Creative Thinking - Home
It’s not an every day thing that you can get access to a plate of food at only 1000 ugsh.
The Saturday of 11th July 2009, I and my friends couldn’t help the aroma that reached our nostrils .we decided to enter one kiosk along Kira road police station.
At first we were not sure where the scent came from till one of the attendants called out on us!
Banyabo emele e’ lyeno’ (ladies, the food is in here) she said
We entered the small room with tinny benches and sat opposite each other.
Where I was seated I could see the view of the kitchen, then a woman appeared in a red wrapper and slippers to take our orders.
It reminded me of a place in Jinja I had visited where menus were laid out on the tables for customers but they only had one meal available; matooke and beans
This time it was matooke, posho with gnuts.
Life couldn’t get worse after serving two plates; she broke it to me and jenny that the food was finished
“Banyabo wasigadeyo kawunga” (ladies, food is over but we are remaining with posho)
‘Did she think one would order posho with no sauce?’ we smiled it off and told her we were okay with the two plates
We asked her if it was possible for us to buy food from another place but she assured us that she was the only one with the food!
‘What time do people around here eat?’ I wondered. It was just 1:35 pm.
I watched my friends eat their share and we got out of the place with great memories.
‘Kiosk! I am coming back, this time at mid day.
Thanks to Harriet, Grace, Jenny and Alal for making the day colorful.

Your Third Article Would Appear Here
If you create your articles as sub-pages to a main page (as we have done in this example site structure) the parent page can have an index list of all the sub-pages, complete with page descriptions - these descriptions automatically picked up from the information you have enetered in the Page Settings tab.
Adding a list of sub-pages to a 'main page' is very straightforward: Simply make pages into 'sub-pages' by selecting them one-by-one in the list of pages, left of your screen, then by clicking the right-facing arrow to indent the selected page in the list, below your chosen 'main page'. Once you have set up your sub-pages in the list, simply go to the design tab for your chosen 'main page' (below which you indented your sub-pages), right click in the design window, and select Insert Links to All Sub-Pages.
It's as easy as that!
XSitePro allows you to have an infinite number of pages and sub-pages so feel free to add as many articles as you like. Remember, whenever you add a new sub-page to your list (in this example we're adding articles) they will automatically get added to the index-list of pages that you inserted in your 'main page' as described above.

A Great Way To Build A Content Site
A great source of quality content, fast
You can build tightly focused content by including appropriate articles on your site. There are several options available for acquiring article content.
- You can write the
articles yourself - time consuming, but it does mean that
you will have unique content that will not be found
anywhere else on the Internet.
- You can find appropriate
articles on the many article directory sites on the
Internet. This can be a great way to find niche articles,
but the downside is that the content you find is likely to
also feature on many other sites on the web. This can
result in pages being 'penalized' by search engines for
being 'duplicate content'. Also, for copyright reasons, it
is not usually possible to edit the articles you find in
article directories and in most cases you will be required
to include a resource box that gives credit to the author
of the article and usually a link to one of their
sites.
- A great alternative to
article directories are 'article membership sites'.
Although this is not a free resource, like those above, it
does offer several big advantages. Firstly, it means that
the number of people who have access to the articles is
restricted so you can be quite sure that the article won't
be appearing on thousands of sites all over the Internet
(so your pages are less likely to be penalized by search
engines for duplicate content).
Secondly, most membership sites that offer articles give you the rights to edit the articles as much as you like. This means that you can take the basic article and change it to suit your own needs. Not only does this mean the content becomes your own unique content it also means that you can optimize the article for your chosen keywords. Lastly, having access to articles you can customize for your own use will help to get you over that initial writer's block. To write an article from scratch can take anything from 30 minutes to a few hours, but if you are customizing an existing article it will take a fraction of the time, often as little as five minutes.
- Another option for generating article content is to pay someone to write it for you. You might be thinking "that's too expensive, surely..." but you'd be amazed at how easy it is to find really cost-effective writers online who will often write copy for incredibly low fees. Again, an advantage of this type of content is that it takes you no time to write, can be keyword rich, and is truly unique to your site.
A really neat little feature within XSitePro is that you can quickly generate lists of sub-pages (below we've included a list of our article pages below this 'articles index page'). This not only looks very professional, but also makes navigating your article content easier for visitors.
It's especially useful if you have a lot of articles (or other sub-page content) which you wish to present, but don't wish to clutter the main navigation menus with. And the other great reason for using this is that whenever you add another sub page (in this case, another article beneath this article index page) it will automatically be added to the page list below. The descriptions even get added automatically for you!www.africa256.wordpress.com
